Introduced WHO numbering standard for dental charting
Introduced the WHO standard as a new dental numbering standard in the blueEHR application. Previously, blueEHR supported only the USA numbering standard.  This enhancement gives practices greater flexibility to use their preferred tooth-numbering convention while maintaining consistent dental documentation across workflows.

The key enhancements include:

  • Administrators can now configure the preferred numbering standard in Dental Settings and switch between the USA and WHO standards.

  • Applies the selected numbering standard consistently across the odontogram, periodontal chart, treatment charting, treatment planner, encounters, clinical documentation, and reports.

  • Supports tooth numbering for both permanent and primary teeth.

  • Keeps recorded tooth conditions and visual tooth positions unchanged when switching between numbering standards; only the tooth numbering identifiers are updated.
