Introduced Patient Assessment Status workflow for the Safe at Home program

The new Patient Assessment Status (PAS) workflow for the Safe at Home program enables occupational therapists (OTs) to document patient scheduling outcomes and notify Care Managers directly from within blueEHR. The PAS form replaces the previous PNS form and the encounter-based manual documentation process. OTs can record scheduling outcomes, add comments, and send pre-populated email notifications to Care Managers without creating unnecessary clinical encounters or relying on manual email communication. This enhancement helps streamline communication and improve workflow efficiency for care coordination.

Enhanced Program enrollment workflow in blueEHR

In the blueEHR application, when scheduling an appointment or creating an encounter, the following fields are no longer auto-populated:

• Program

• Sub-Program

• Visit Category

• Visit Type

• Service Location

• Billing Facility

• Appointment Status

The Program dropdown now displays the list of programs in which the patient is enrolled.

Additionally, on the Schedule Appointment dialog, the Provider field is no longer auto-populated and must be selected manually. On the Create Encounter page, the Provider field defaults to the logged-in user's name and can be modified as needed. This enhancement improves the accuracy of program enrollment and encounter documentation by ensuring that program-related information is selected intentionally and reflects the specific context of each patient visit.
